Stuffed and Starved: Reclaiming the global food system

The global system of food production is dominated by a handful of powerful corporations, from the sale of seeds and fertiliser to processing and distribution. Increasingly, banks are also speculating on basic foodstuffs on international markets, causing food crises where millions go hungry. This session will look at the problems caused by a globalised food system, and how we can democratise it.
